Blackheads are happen when the pores are clogged close to the surface of the skin. Because they are exposed to the skin surface, blackheads don't usually become inflamed. Mainly blackheads are dark because of the presence of a dark pigment. This dark pigment color is not the result of dirt in the pores.

The occurrence of face black heads can be attributed to the constant production of an oily substance called sebum, secreted from sebaceous glands. In medical terms, black heads are known as Comedons. It is a fact that, it cans not dirt and can not be washed away. So blackheads can present on the skin last for a long time because the contents very slowly drain to the surface.

Causes of blackheads

Except for puberty, blackheads appear as a result of chronic diseases of the gastroentric path, an endocrine infringement. Often, the reason for the appearance of spots is the infringement of the acid and base balance in the organism. The reasons for blackheads can be allergic reactions, stresses, failures in the immune system, oily and combined skin, which means that there is sebum in pores. They can be caused by chronic tonsillitis's, a bad infection in another portion of the body, taking certain medications, eating the wrong foods, overcooling, the worsening of ecology as a whole, and a decrease of sensitivity.

Symptoms

Blackheads are often not apparent to an observer. Blackheads and whiteheads are a combination of oils, sebum and cellular fragments that form firm to hard plugs within hair follicles.  Blackheads are open to the skin's surface and become darkened at the surface by exposure to oxygen (oxidation). And, while blackheads may not be very noticeable, individuals tend to be sensitive about their appearance. Teenagers especially may become concerned about the way other people react to them.

Treatment to get rid of blackheads

Usually blackheads are the result of oily skin and blocked pores. After a warm bath the face should be splashed with cold water. It is important to remember that a blackhead is not caused by dirt, so does not scrubbing your face it may create a problem. Rigorous scrubbing will only cause more irritation.

To cleanse your face you should use an oatmeal or almond mask. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub this mixture on your skin with your finger, and then use it on the problem areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. This is the one of the best home remedy to get rid of blackheads.

Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads if benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.
